This is a review of Rooibos Tea from Adagio. As it happens I was looking for something to warm me up. You see
It was late and a little chilly, wanted something warm to drink before bed. Combed through by cupboard and found this little gem.
This one is not made from the Camellia sinensis plant, so technically cannot be called a true tea. This is really an herbal
I usually drink the flavored variety, but decided to give this one try. It is simply the Red Leaf itself. This organic leaf from Adagio is excellant.
Heated the water to about 212F. When pouring it over the red leaves I was hit with the aroma of freshly cut hay. Took me back to
the time when I was young and the hay fields were being cut.
The taste was a sweetness with some fruity notes. I then added some sweetener and found it only enhance it. Usually only use agave
This particular one is organic. A caffeine free Red Tea also known as Honey Bush
The description that was given for this tea was this: fruity, sweet, rounded, mild and smooth with a herbal texture.
